
Meet Elaine
Dietitian/Nutritionist
Elaine is a registered dietitian, clinic founder, YouTuber, and media dietitian based in Vancouver. She is a TEDxWestVancouver 2026 speaker, presenting on managing emotional eating and breaking the cycle of guilt and shame.
She earned her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling Psychology to integrate counselling skills into nutrition care and support sustainable dietary change.
Known for her compassionate, client-centered approach, Elaine combines evidence-based nutrition with practical strategies to help people build healthier relationships with food. Her recipes and nutrition expertise have also been featured by Dietitians of Canada during Nutrition Month 2026.

Work Experience
Weight loss and obesity care
Elaine worked for the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk’s Obesity C.A.R.E. Service and provided nutrition intervention to those living with obesity. Patients were usually on weight-loss medications such as Ozempic and Saxenda. Elaine specializes in weight management and obesity lifestyle intervention for patients referred by family doctors, endocrinologists, internal medicine doctors, or other specialist doctors. Elaine also completed advanced training in weight management and obesity treatment through the World Obesity Federation's Strategic Center for Obesity Professional Education program.
Clinical nutrition care
Elaine worked at Medisys Health Group, a private medical clinic, where she provided nutrition counseling to company executives, VPs, managers, and CEOs on chronic disease prevention, therapeutic nutrition, and meal planning. Her clients came from diverse cultural backgrounds and had a wide range of health concerns, including cholesterol management, weight loss, sports nutrition, muscle gain, women's health issues such as menopause and PCOS, and digestive health conditions like IBS, celiac disease, and food sensitivities.
Prenatal and postnatal care
Elaine worked at a pregnancy clinic funded by Health Canada and Fraser Health, where she supported vulnerable pregnant women and infants. She specializes in managing conditions such as gestational diabetes, anemia, postpartum weight loss, breastfeeding, and infant nutrition by developing personalized therapeutic nutrition plans. Elaine has completed advanced training in breastfeeding support for healthcare providers through Douglas College.
