
Meet Elaine Dietitian
BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, University of British Columbia
Master’s in Counselling Psychology
Elaine is a Registered Dietitian, clinic founder, YouTuber, and media dietitian based in Vancouver. She is a TEDxWestVancouver 2026 speaker, presenting on managing emotional eating and breaking the cycle of guilt and shame.

She earned her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a Minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia. She later completed a Master’s in Counselling Psychology to integrate counselling skills into nutrition care and better support sustainable dietary change. She has also completed EMDR training, further strengthening her trauma-informed approach to supporting clients.
​
Known for her compassionate, client-centered style, Elaine combines evidence-based nutrition with practical, personalized strategies to help people build healthier relationships with food. Her recipes and nutrition expertise have also been featured by Dietitians of Canada during Nutrition Month 2026.

Work Experience
Weight Loss and Obesity Care
Elaine has extensive experience providing weight management and obesity nutrition intervention through Novo Nordisk’s Obesity C.A.R.E. Service, where she supported individuals living with obesity. In this role, she delivered personalized nutrition care for patients using weight-management medications, including GLP-1 therapies such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Saxenda, and Mounjaro. Patients were referred by family physicians, endocrinologists, internists, and other medical specialists.

She has completed advanced training in weight management and obesity care, including Medical Management of Obesity Training through Novo Nordisk’s Obesity C.A.R.E. Service, as well as the World Obesity SCOPE program.

Clinical Nutrition Care
Elaine worked at Medisys Health Group, a private medical clinic, where she provided nutrition counselling to executives, vice presidents, managers, and CEOs. Her work focused on chronic disease prevention, therapeutic nutrition, and personalized meal planning.

She supported clients from diverse cultural backgrounds with a wide range of health concerns, including cholesterol management, weight loss, sports nutrition, muscle gain, women’s health concerns such as menopause and PCOS, and digestive health conditions such as IBS, celiac disease, and food sensitivities.
Prenatal and Postnatal Care
Elaine worked at Healthy Babies Possible, a pregnancy clinic funded by Health Canada and Fraser Health, where she supported pregnant women and infants. In this role, she provided nutrition care for conditions such as gestational diabetes, anemia, postpartum weight management, breastfeeding, and infant nutrition through personalized therapeutic nutrition plans.

Elaine has also completed advanced training in breastfeeding support for healthcare providers through Douglas College.
