Chocolate Oat Cups with Matcha Yogurt Filling Low-calorie snack
Looking for a simple and low calorie snack that feels like a treat? These chocolate oat cups combine naturally sweet banana, whole-grain oats, cacao, creamy Greek yogurt, and earthy matcha. They require only a few ingredients and take about 10 minutes to bake. The oat cups provide carbohydrates and fibre, while Greek yogurt adds protein and calcium. They work well as a balanced snack, light breakfast, or healthier dessert.
Ingredients (serving 4-5)
For the chocolate oat cups
2 ripe banana
2 cup quick oats
1 tablespoon cacao powder
For the matcha yogurt filling
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons matcha powder
Honey or maple syrup, optional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a muffin pan or use silicone muffin cups.
Place the banana in a bowl and mash it thoroughly with a fork.
Add the oats and cacao powder. Mix until well combined.
Divide the oat mixture among the prepared muffin cups.
Use a spoon or your fingers to press the mixture firmly along the bottom and sides of each cup, creating space for the filling.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the oat cups are set and lightly firm around the edges.
Allow the cups to cool completely before removing them from the pan.
In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with the matcha powder. Taste and add a small amount of honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter filling.
Spoon the matcha yogurt mixture into the cooled chocolate oat cups.
Enjoy immediately, or refrigerate before serving for a cooler and firmer snack.
