A Meaningful Moment in My Journey
I’m incredibly honored and excited to share that I will be speaking at TEDx West Vancouver about a topic that is very close to my heart: emotional eating. 🎤
Food is much more than nourishment. It carries memories, comfort, celebration, and sometimes even stress or loneliness. Over the years—through cooking, baking, and sharing recipes—I’ve also come to realize how deeply our emotions are connected to the way we eat.
This TEDx talk is an opportunity for me to open an important conversation about that relationship.
Why Emotional Eating Matters
Many of us have experienced moments when we reach for food not because we are physically hungry, but because we are tired, overwhelmed, bored, or seeking comfort. Emotional eating is a common human experience, yet it is often misunderstood.
Instead of judging ourselves for these moments, we can learn to understand them.
In my talk, I will explore:
Why emotional eating happens
How our feelings influence our food choices
Ways to build a healthier and more compassionate relationship with food

TEDx Experience
This journey to the TEDx stage did not happen overnight. The process began nearly eight months ago, when I started working with the incredible TEDx team and coaches. Together we spent months shaping the script, refining the message, practicing delivery, memorizing the talk, and training for the stage.
It has been a journey of learning, reflection, and growth. Every rehearsal pushed me to go deeper into the topic of emotional eating and to share the message in the most honest and meaningful way possible.
Standing on the TEDx stage represents not only one talk, but months of dedication, collaboration, and belief in the importance of this conversation.
